Located on a beach front property on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The concept was inspired by a simple barn structure that faces directly towards the ocean. The public space occupy the largest central volume and he bedroom blocks located adjacent to this with courtyard spaces between. Prevailing ocean breezes are encouraged to flow through the house through a series of louvered vents and keep the house passivly cooled. The thermal mass of the large structural walls also help with this cooling strategy.
