Philosophy
Guiding Principles
Every project begins with an understanding of sun path, prevailing winds, rainfall, and temperature. We use orientation, ventilation, and shading to create comfort passively — reducing reliance on mechanical systems and letting buildings breathe with their environment.
We don't import styles. Each project responds to its specific geography — coastal, mountain, valley — and draws on local materials, construction traditions, and the rhythms of daily life in that community. The architecture belongs where it is built.
Sustainability is not an add-on — it's embedded in every decision, from reusing existing structures to selecting materials with low embodied energy. On our Casa Nonosi project, partially reusing an old concrete frame prevented 1,200 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
We see interiors as a continuation of the architecture, not a separate discipline. From the selection of finishes and furniture to the placement of art and the design of custom pieces, the interior experience is considered from day one.
Landscaping is a design layer, not an afterthought. Every plant, pathway, and shadow is considered to complement the architecture and connect inhabitants to the natural world around them.
Beautiful buildings that don't work for the people inside them are failures. We design for how people actually live — the morning coffee ritual, the way children play, the evening light on a terrace. Function and feeling are inseparable.
Process
We are involved from the very first site visit through final construction oversight. This continuity means the design intent carries through every phase — nothing is lost in translation between concept, documents, and the built result.
Our services span architectural design, interior design, furniture design, landscape design, and construction administration. For each project, we assemble a team calibrated to the scope and ambition of the work.
We'd love to hear about your site, your vision, and how we might work together.
